Meg Maurer MSOM, L.Ac. & Certified Rolfer

Meg Maurer, is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist. She earned her Master of Science degree in  Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Southwest Acupuncture College, located in Boulder, Colorado. Meg is nationally certified as a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

 Meg is a Certified Rolfer and Rolf Movement Practitioner. She is a faculty member at The Dr. Ida Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado and has been teaching Life Sciences, Embodied Movement and Manual Therapy for over a decade. Meg has also completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and has studied  Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy. Prior to becoming a Rolfer, she was a Licensed Massage Therapist and studied Nutrition and Health at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. All of these modalities inform her work and practice.

 Meg specializes in sports medicine - treating musculo-skeletal pain and dysfunction.  She also treats sleep disorders, digestive issues, anxiety and women’s reproductive health. Meg also has a keen interest in Neuroplasticity and helping people who have experienced TBI’s and post-concussion syndrome.

 Meg has lived in the Boulder area for the last 10+ years. Originally from Connecticut, she loves living in Colorado and getting outside, hiking and biking and playing in the foothills. She is passionate about Movement and Natural Medicine and she is dedicated to helping people improve their health.

 

Meg Maurer Services & Treatments

[Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist, Certified Rolfer]

 

New Patient Visit w/ Meg Maurer: $220

1 hour consultation and 30-45 minutes of treatment

This visit is designed for patients that are new to Niwot Natural Medicine that want to see Meg Maurer.  Established patients at Niwot Natural Medicine do not need to do a new patient consultation w/ Meg.  A thorough and comprehensive intake will be done during a new patient visit with Meg, and treatment may include both modalities of Rolfing and Acupuncture.

 

Combined rolfing & acupuncture Visit w/ Meg Maurer: $170

5-10 minute consultation, 75 minutes of treatment

This visit is designed for current patients at Niwot Natural Medicine to come see Meg for a combined Rolfing/Acupuncture session. This treatment consists of 60 minutes of Rolfing structural bodywork (hands on work) and 20-30 minutes of Acupuncture needles for integration. TCM diagnosis will be incorporated into the session, and based on the diagnosis, appropriate needles and acupuncture points will be used after the manual therapy portion of the session is completed.

 

Rolfing Structural Integration w/ Meg Maurer: $140

5-10 minute consultation and 60 minutes of treatment

For established patients at Niwot Natural Medicine, a traditional Rolfing appointment that addresses imbalances in the body according to the 10-series format and Rolfing Principles. Each session builds on the prior appointment. Rolfing has a reputation for diminishing chronic pain, and releasing holding patterns in the body. *If interested in pre-purchasing an entire 10-Series, session #10 will be free!

Acute/SHORT Rolfing Visit: $75

5 minute consultation, 40 minutes of treatment

This visit is designed for current patients at Niwot Natural Medicine to come see Meg for a focused Rolfing/manual therapy session for acute structural situations such as, acute low back pain, jaw pain/TMJ, whiplash, sports accidents, acute shoulder pain, or carpal tunnel syndrome.

Acupuncture w/ Meg Maurer: $50

5-10 minute consultation and 20-30 minutes of treatment

For established patients at Niwot Natural Medicine, seeking a follow-up session of Acupuncture, with Meg.
